Dr. Heather Gosnell brings a unique depth of experience to Desert Valley Pediatrics, blending a distinguished military background with a passion for health and wellness. Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, Dr. Gosnell earned her B.S. with honors from the University of Maryland before commissioning into the U.S. Air Force. She received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda and completed her residency at Lackland AFB.

After completing her USAF commitment, Dr. Gosnell joined Desert Valley Pediatrics in 2008. She remains committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to West Valley families while helping parents navigate the complexities of today’s health landscape. Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Gosnell is a certified expert in the media, frequently sharing her pediatric knowledge across various platforms to provide families with up-to-date health guidance.

As a Certified Plant-Based Health Coach, Dr. Gosnell is a firm believer in ‘food as medicine’. She invites her patients and their families to follow her on Instagram @eatplantsmdcoach, where she shares nutritional tips and inspiration for all ages. Her goal is to provide practical tools that make plant-centered nutrition simple and accessible for the entire household.

Dr. Heather Gosnell is married to Dr. Ron Gosnell, a recently retired pediatrician from our practice, and they are the proud parents of a daughter currently attending ASU. As a family, they love to travel and explore new destinations together. In her personal time, you can find Dr. Gosnell embracing the Arizona outdoors on a hiking trail or in the kitchen experimenting with new plant-based recipes.
