Desert Valley Pediatrics takes the COVID-19 Situation very seriously. To protect our patients, caregivers and our staff, the following steps have become our standard during the current situation. Please check back often as these policies and procedures may change as things continue to evolve. We appreciate the faith and trust that our patients and parents put in us and realize that some of these items are inconvenient, but we believe they are in the best interests of all involved. Please let our team know if you have any questions or concerns before coming to the office.
MASK REQUIREMENT: While in our facilities, children over the age of 2 and accompanying adults must wear a mask.If you do not have one, we have reusable masks available to purchase for $1.Allour forward-facing team (check-in staff, medical assistants and providers) always wear appropriate masks while with patients.
We have dedicated morning and early afternoon hours for seeing well children. Along with the AAP, we want to stress the importance of staying on track with well exams and vaccines.
If your child uses an MDI inhaler for asthma or a breathing condition, it is extremely important you bring it to every visit (sick or well) in the event your child needs an inhalation for treatment.
For visits that include respiratory related symptoms, we are scheduling at a time where there are limited patients.
We are limiting the number of people in our facilities. We are encouraging only one parent or guardian to accompany our patient to his/her appointment. Pleaseplan to leave any additional adults or siblings at home if possible, it is getting very hot outside, so we do not recommend waiting in the car during appointments.
We are calling a day before your appointment to screen for any sick symptoms including cough, congestion, or fevers. This will help to ensure we are properly prepared for your arrival and have your child’s appointment scheduled at an appropriate time.
While regular cleaning was a part of our normal duties, we have increased this to several times a day focusing heavily on common areas.
